We do not intentionally place advertising or audience-analytics cookies on the Site. The speaker reel and voice recorder use click-to-load gates, so YouTube and SpeakPipe do not load until you choose them.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file a website or service stores in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, software-development kits, media requests, and server logs. They can remember settings, enable features, measure activity, maintain security, or support advertising.
Some processing is essential to deliver a page or service you request. Other processing—such as optional analytics, personalization, or advertising—may require a choice or consent depending on where you live.
What this Site currently uses
| Technology or provider | Purpose and timing |
|---|---|
| Hosting, delivery, and security | May use request logs, network identifiers, or strictly necessary storage to serve pages, balance traffic, detect abuse, and maintain reliability when you request the Site. |
| Google Fonts | Receives a network request when a page loads to deliver the Site’s typefaces. The request may include an Internet Protocol address and ordinary browser headers. |
| YouTube privacy-enhanced player | Does not load until you press the play button. Once loaded, it provides the speaker reel and may use cookies or similar technology under Google’s policies. |
| SpeakPipe voice recorder | Does not load until you choose to open the recorder. Once loaded, SpeakPipe may use storage or similar technology needed to record and deliver a voice message. |
| Captivate podcast hosting | Hosts the RSS feed and audio. A request for episode audio may provide Captivate with ordinary device, network, and playback information. |
| Formspree | Receives and stores form fields only after you submit a general message, speaking inquiry, or podcast comment. It is used for form processing and email delivery, not audience analytics on our pages. |
| External podcast, publishing, and booking destinations | Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Substack, Flowday, and other external sites are contacted after you select their links and then apply their own technology policies. |
As of the effective date, we do not intentionally use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, retargeting tags, or a marketing-cookie profile on the Site. If nonessential technologies are added later, this policy will be updated and a consent choice will be presented where required before those technologies are used.
Optional video, voice, and podcast media
YouTube speaker reel
The speaker reel is presented behind a local preview image and button. The YouTube player is not embedded in the initial page. When you press “Play speaker reel,” the Site loads the video from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain.
SpeakPipe voice messages
The voice-message recorder is also presented behind a local button. SpeakPipe is contacted only after you choose “Open the voice-message recorder.” If you do not want SpeakPipe to receive technical information or a recording, do not open the recorder; you can email Kevin instead.
Captivate podcast audio
Podcast audio is hosted by Captivate. Episode players are set not to preload audio. A connection to Captivate is expected when you choose to play or seek within an episode, and Captivate then applies its own listener and privacy practices.
Review Google’s Privacy Policy, SpeakPipe’s Privacy Policy, and Captivate’s listener privacy information for provider details.
Forms and external links
The general-contact, speaking-inquiry, and podcast-comment forms are part of the Site. Formspree is contacted after submission so the message or moderation notice can reach Kevin’s email inbox. Form handling is described in the Privacy Policy. You may email Kevin directly instead.
Links to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Substack, Flowday, and other independent websites take you away from this Site. Those services may place cookies or use similar technology when their pages open. We do not control their technologies, retention periods, or consent tools.
Your browser and privacy controls
You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies, clear site data, limit tracking, or receive alerts. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may cause some pages or security features to work differently. Browser instructions are generally available in the browser’s privacy or help menu.
The Site does not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so a Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” signal does not change our advertising practices. The click-to-load YouTube and SpeakPipe choices work independently of those signals.
Changes and contact
We may revise this policy when providers, technologies, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. If a new nonessential technology requires consent, an appropriate choice will be implemented before activation for affected visitors.
